Ocean Universal in Cairns stocks a big spearfishing range. That's no accident — the store traded as Spearfishing Superstore, and that side of things has always been the core.

In stock you'll find rail find more spearguns, spearfishing wetsuits, carbon and fibreglass fins, low-volume masks, weight belts, floats, dive knives, and spearfishing accessories. It's all picked for tropical conditions — not southern stuff that doesn't suit FNQ.

The rebrand to Ocean Universal because the shop had already added scuba and freediving equipment over the years. But the spearo side is still there. Spearfishing is still a core part of the store.

The crew are spearos themselves and know what works on FNQ reefs.
